BIO

Tracy McArdle Brady is a published novelist, essayist and communications executive.

​

She is the 2020 recipient of

The Erma Bombeck | Anna Lefler Humorist-in-Residence Program, the only one of its kind: a writing residency specifically for emerging humor writers.

​

She has written for The Boston Globe Magazine, Fortune, Adweek, the Martha's Vineyard Times, Muse by Clio and other publications.


She has been a senior communications and public relations executive at the advertising agencies Hill Holliday, Modernista! and Arnold Worldwide, and has held similar positions at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Fox Searchlight Films, and Turner Broadcasting.

​

She is currently the Senior Vice President of Global Communications for Curaleaf, the world's largest cannabis company.

​

She started Festival of Need as a way to connect with and inspire laughter in exasperated adults everywhere, and to have a legal place to publish the things everyone thinks but no one says.

​

She is available for script punch up, speechwriting, ghostwriting, joke writing, and tequila disposal.
